Mary Gicharu has over 15 years experience working within strategic roles in various capacities. She was recently the CEO/Managing Director of iHub, an innovation and incubation Hub in the region. She set direction for a new strategy & business model, consolidated business functions for more effectiveness, and put in place a clear strategic implementation plan, & a re-focus on strategic partnerships.
Prior to that she was the Lead Program Manager at Equity Bank, managing the implementation of Equitel, the largest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Africa, and leading various projects under it. She also spent 7 years at Morgan Stanley in New York, USA, in the COO Office. Mary had also worked in Strategy and Planning and Portfolio Management at Coca-Cola Enterprises IT in Atlanta, USA for 5 years prior to moving to New York, USA.
She has utilized and compiled various skills in strategic planning & implementation within various sectors at global companies. And is passionate about financial inclusion, innovation and talent development.
Mary holds a BA Finance from Southern Arkansas University, and is a Project Management professional. And is multinational citizen.
Murtaza Esmailjee, has over 13 years experience in business, strategy & technology. With the recent 8 years specializing in Project Delivery and Management. He has been a Project Head for a large system Integrator and is now a Management Consultant for several large and medium scale organizations. His business experience ranges from banking, education, government, NGO and manufacturing.
Murtaza has helped several organizations streamline their business process management processes which focus on Project delivery and success, while building their in-house capacity and coaching process adoption & is a renowned facilitator in Business, Strategy & Governance Projects.
Murtaza is the founding member of the PMI Kenya Chapter and has served in its board position for over 6 years. He is a certified PMP® and is currently perusing an MBA in Project Management. He has also graduated with a Distinction in his Bachelors of Engineering degree in Information Science and Technology from Visweswariah Technological University in Belgaum, India.
Murtaza is a Kenyan citizen, with multi-cultural and multi-lingual experience in the East African Region.
